Record the complete identity
- Power source: photograph the system nameplate and record the complete model, including suffixes such as XD or XP where shown.
- Torch: record its model and whether it is handheld, mechanized or used for bevel cutting. A replacement torch may differ from the original machine specification.
- Reference: copy every character marked on the consumable and note which component it identifies. Send a clear photograph when a mark is damaged.
- Process: identify material, thickness, amperage and the plasma/shield gas combination from the applicable cut chart.
Hypertherm's care guide directs users to match the consumable references in the owner's manual. Its Powermax45 machine-torch guide illustrates the use of a consumable diagram before each cut chart. These documents explain the identification method; they do not certify a FLUTEX replacement.
Name the component, not only the machine
| Component | What to identify in your enquiry |
|---|---|
| Electrode and nozzle | Send each reference separately and the process used with that pair. |
| Swirl ring | Provide its reference and the exact torch/process; appearance alone is insufficient. |
| Shield and retaining caps | Separate the shield, inner retaining cap and outer cap in the list instead of calling them all a cap. |
| Water tube or coolant-related part | Supply the reference and torch model; do not infer a substitute from a similar electrode. |
Confirm the complete assembly
If the torch already contains aftermarket components, photograph the installed arrangement and list which items will remain. Ask the supplier to identify the proposed replacement, its original-reference cross-reference and the relevant process. Do not combine differently identified components on the strength of a matching thread or colour.
Names including HPR, HPRXD, XPR and Powermax identify different system families; a broad family listing is a starting point for an enquiry, not approval of every combination. Use the exact model's current manufacturer manual for installation and operating settings.
Original and compatible products
An original-reference number is an identification aid. It does not turn an independently supplied compatible item into an original manufacturer product. Ask the quotation to state the offered brand, product condition, reference, quantity and any unresolved compatibility questions. FLUTEX does not claim manufacturer authorization through the use of a compatibility name.
Send a request that can be checked
- System and torch nameplate photographs.
- Individual reference, component name and quantity for every line item.
- Material, thickness, process/amperage and gas details.
- Whether the job is standard cutting, bevel cutting or another process.
- Saudi delivery city or the intended destination, and requested delivery date.
If the reference is unreadable, say so explicitly. A dimensional photograph can support identification, but the match should remain unconfirmed until the system and process have been checked.
Does a part number guarantee availability?
No. A listed reference helps identify the enquiry. Confirm the offered item, compatibility, stock position, lead time and commercial terms in the quotation.
Can I use one amperage or cut chart for every replacement?
No universal operating values are provided here. Use the correct manual and process documentation for the system and proposed assembly.
